I have a confession to make.

For the past 8-9 hours I’ve been working on this publication. Completely ignoring everything else I’ve had to do today.

Totally worth it, btw.

So worth it in fact, that I decided to share a font with you all that I created a while back when I played around with my iPad.

But Why Would I Do That?

Being a designer at heart, I know how frustrating it is to not find a good font when you need one. Especially when it comes to branding and preview images/thumbnails.

So I decided to make my own a while back. And now I’ve decided to share it with all of you at the same time.

It’s 100% free, all you have to do is signup for my mailing list.

Free Handmade Font by Yours Truly

When signing up, I’ll send a 100% handmade font your way.

It’s not the most comprehensive font, but it does speak Spanish and English at least. I mean, that has to count for something, right?

Yes, it is the same font I use for my logo for this publication. I wouldn’t share anything I wouldn’t use myself.

About the font:

Name: Forest

Description: Forest is a fun and quirky handwritten font created by me. Inspired by the Swedish Nordic nature and the Japanese word wabi-sabi 侘寂 (which means, beauty in imperfection), handwritten on iPad using the app Fontself. I chose the word wabi-sabi from Japanese because the font is supposed to be imperfectly beautiful.

Available in Spanish - á, é, í, ó, ú, ü, ñ

Letters & Glyphs → 114 Letters & Glyphs in total
Software Requirements → Works in any software (even on iPad if you know how to install it, don’t worry, a guide is included in the license.pdf)

The font is delivered in a .zip file that contains a .otf and .ttf along with a license.pdf document. Don’t worry, you get full commercial rights and can upload it to your Canva Pro account if you’d like so you can use it for your graphics here.

All I’m asking is that you don’t share it or sell it. If you want to share it, send them to my Substack and ask that they subscribe and download it themselves.
