Upcoming Changes + Photo Challenges Update

Exciting Updates: New Schedule for Photo Challenges, Extended Hiatus for 'Behind the Lens', and More!

June is right around the corner and a few things have happened since my break, a break that will keep going for a little while longer! But don’t worry, the photo challenges will return in a couple of weeks!

Upcoming Changes

To put it bluntly, I’m changing the days the challenges run between.

This means that they won’t be running between Wednesdays and Tuesdays anymore, but rather Sundays to Saturdays instead and the winning post won’t be published until the following Monday.

This is because I’ve just started a new job and my hours won’t allow me to run the challenges the usual days. And as submissions have been picking up lately, I’m allowing myself to take a day in between to pick a winner and to format the posts properly rather than having to rush getting it out and risk missing a submission.

Unfortunately this will also mean that I won’t be as responsive as I normally am, but I will always leave a comment and a like on your submission, it’ll just take me a bit longer than normal to do so. But you can always expect a comment and a like on your submission from me within 24 hours.

That means that the Behind the Lens posts will be on an extended hiatus as I’ve not yet had the time to reach out to anyone about participating in the upcoming season two. I apologize for this, but May has been an extremely busy month for me this year. Much busier than expected.

However, I will do my best to reach out to as many as I can about participating throughout June and have it back by August.

Please note that if I contact you I will do so through Substack DM, if you don’t have DM’s activated, I will send you an email instead as long as you’re subscribed to Nordic Lens.

That’s about it for the upcoming changes. However, if anything changes I will get another post out as soon as possible.

Photo Challenges are Returning on June 9!

That’s right, not much longer now!

Nothing more than the running days will change, the challenges will still be posted early mornings CET (central european time) and end at evenings CET the following Saturday.

That’s about it, really!

I can’t wait to run the challenges again and I hope all of you are as excited for them as I am!
